2015: Anniversary Workshop in Hohenheim

The series of events at the University of Hohenheim started on the 6th of July 2015 with the kick-off event of the KKL touring exhibition “The history of a green Israel” by the President of the University of Hohenheim, Prof. Dr. Stephan Dabbert. The opening as well as the closing ceremony on the 16th of July 2015 were well received by the citizens of Stuttgart and the specialist lectures were lively discussed.

A delegation of 33 members from Israel arrived on 7th of July 2015, headed by the Vice President for Research and Development of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI), Prof. Dr. Shy Arkin and the dean of our partner faculty, the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food & Environment of the HUJI in Rehovot, Prof. Dr. Shmulik Wolf as well as the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, Dr. Sinaia Netanyahu. 2013: Bilateral Workshop in Rehovot

Nine senior researchers and PhD students from the University of Hohenheim's Faculties of Agricultural Sciences and of Natural Sciences participated in the latest scientific symposium of the Faculty Program held in Rehovot on 27-29 October, 2013. Israeli and German researchers together presented results of running collaborative projects and reported on joint publications and project applications. In addition, several new collaborative research proposals were presented to the scientific community of the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Food, Agriculture and Environment.

2011: Promotion of Young Scientists through Collaborative Research: Symposium of the Hohenheim─Rehovot Partnership

A delegation of eight researchers from the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment in Rehovot, led by the Vice Dean for Research, Professor Shmuel Wolf, participated in the scientific symposium of the Faculty Program held in Hohenheim on 24-25 October, 2011. Israeli and German researchers together presented results of running collaborative projects and reported on joint publications and project applications. In addition, new proposals to the current project call were presented to the scientific community.

2009: Scientific Symposium in Rehovot


Another biennial scientific symposium of the Faculty Program was held at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Food, Agriculture and Environment in Rehovot on 2-3 November 2009. Israeli and German researchers of running collaborative projects reported on their results and new proposals were presented. This meeting was organized simultaneously with a Planning Workshop which aimed at elaborating a research proposal for a Transregional Collaborative Research Centre (SFB/Transregio).  Led by the Rector, Prof. H.-P. Liebig, and the Vice-Rector, Prof. M. Blum, 23 scientists from the Faculties of Agricultural and Natural Sciences of the University of Hohenheim participated together with a large number of colleagues from Rehovot in the two meetings.

2007: Commemoration of 20 years of successful and trusty cooperation


On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the partnership, a scientific symposium was organized by the Life Science Center of the University of Hohenheim on 10-11 October 2007. A delegation of 12 scientists from the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Food, Agriculture and Environment headed by the Dean, Prof. Eli Feinermann, attended the symposium. Scientists from the two universities as well as researchers from the University of Tübingen presented papers on on-going research projects and ideas for future collaboration. The symposium was also attended by representatives of the German Research Foundation DFG, the State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, and the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg.
