Research Partnership between
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Hohenheim

Willkommen - Welcome - Shalom

In 2007, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Hohenheim signed a cooperation agreement aiming at establishing a close collaboration in research and teaching between the two institutions. This institutional agreement builds upon the trusty and successful cooperation in agricultural and nutritional research which has developed between the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Rehovot and the Faculties of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Sciences of the University of Hohenheim since 1987. It has been the main goal of this long-term cooperation to make contributions to the modernization of agriculture, to food security and to the sustainable use of natural resources in the Middle East and worldwide by performing joint projects in basic and applied sciences. The Federal State of Baden-Württemberg through its Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts has kindly supported this partnership program by providing seed money for innovative life science research thus fostering the formation of young scientists coming from both universities.
